In recent years, NECA has really been going hard on their quarter scale action figures. They have released some amazing figures around the 18-inch range, all for under $100. Next up, they are planning to release a Big Chap quarter scale figure, based on its appearance in the legendary 1979 movie Alien.
This incredible Xenomorph action figure stands over 22-inches tall, and has a hinged jaw that opens, revealing an inner mouth that extends for realistic movie action.
With over 30 points of articulation, this figure has more articulation than most 6-inch action figures that are currently on the market. Its most notable articulation is double knee joints and a bendable tail.
Clearly no detail has been overlooked on NECA’s next 1/4 scale figure. They have paid extra attention to all of the eerie details that made H.R. Giger’s designs for Alien so mesmerizing.
The images featured below show the unpainted prototype. Though, with a release date set for May 2015, we should be seeing the final, painted product very soon. Big Chap has a SRP of $125.99, though many retailers have him listed for less than $100.
