The Devil’s Backbone Santi Figure Now Available in NECA’s eBay Store

NECA Devils Backbone Santi action figure

The Devil’s Backbone Santi Figure only costs around $25, which is a steal for the quality!

This past February NECA at Toy Fair they revealed their Guillermo Del Toro Signature Collection. It Isn’t a surprise that Del Toro is a fan of NECA as they’ve collaborated before with NECA’s Pacific Rim line which lasted a few years.

Now NECA is releasing products from his more personal films: The Devils Backbone, Pan’s Labyrinth and most recently The Shape of Water.

The Devil’s Backbone Santi figure is the first to be released and now it’s available from NECA’s eBay store. As you can see it comes in deluxe packaging with artwork by Hellboy’s creator Mike Mignola which looks fantastic, I believe this was used for the films Criterion release.

I would even say it’s worth getting for the packaging itself, it’s incredible. I cannot wait to see what artwork they use for the upcoming figures in the series.

Santi comes with a diorama base with the unexploded bomb that has landed in the orphanage’s courtyard. Like most of NECA’s action figures, Santi looks highly detailed and highly articulated. In my opinion, I think this will be one of NECA’s best releases this year.

He looks to of been given the flesh plastic treatment which works very well with this spectral figure. You can see it’s very subtlety done when you look closely. Also, great attention has been paid to the wound on his head.

I love the great attention to detail with Sant’s ghostly appearance and tattered clothes with sculpted texture work. I’m a big fan of the film and I have seen it a number of times and I personally think NECA have recreated Santi’s appearance perfectly in action figure form.

The diorama looks fantastic as well with its dirt base, the unexploded bomb, and the potted plants surrounding it.

If Santi is anything to go by we’ll be in for some real treats this year when NECA releases the other figures in the Guillermo Del Toro Signature Collection. If you’re a fan of Del Toro’s films I would highly recommend picking up this figure and I don’t doubt that this figure will be available in comic book shops, Target and such like in the coming weeks.

This figure will cost between $20-$27 from selected retailers
