Just yesterday Hasbro revealed more Indiana Jones products, both for the Adventure Series & Retro Line. For the Retro Line, they revealed five new figures and for the Adventure Series, they revealed two. In the Retro Line, they revealed Temple of Doom Indiana Jones & Short Round and The Last Crusade Indiana Jones, Sallah & Henry Jones Snr. For the Adventure Series, they revealed Raiders Map Room Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade Kazim.
I am not all that interested in the Retro Series, but I am very happy that it’s continuing with more figures from the sequels, though I’d be interested to see if they do figures from Kingdom of The Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny.
For the Adventure Series, I am very happy to hear that they are getting into the deep cuts for the Indiana Jones Adventure Series figures with Map Room Indiana Jones and Kazim! I honestly didn’t expect him to be in the line so soon. Both of these figures look fantastic and highly detailed and come with some great accessories. Indy comes with the Staff of Ra, a notebook, rope, and shovel. As well as an interchangeable pair of hands, though I couldn’t see them in the pictures from Screen Rant.
Kazim looks fantastic and I’m impressed with the likeness to the actor the suit looks very accurate. I’m very pleased that he comes with three guns, a pistol, a rifle, and a submachine gun. They look very film accurate from the chase scene in Venice. Though I don’t remember him using the rifle in those scenes.
One thing I really wanted from this line is to get all the looks for Indy and most (if not all) of the supporting characters as well. If we’re getting all the looks for Indy, will we get the supporting characters in their other outfits from the films? Also, the reveal of Kazim gives me high hopes for the other supporting characters from the films.
Like with the Star Wars license, these figures won’t be available for pre-order but will be released in the summer. I don’t know why Hasbro/Lucasfilm does this with Star Wars and Indiana Jones lines and I hope that they don’t do this for too long as it’s going to make it difficult for fans from different countries to get hold of them.
