Mezco One:12 The Crow

Earlier this year Mezco has revealed that they have the license to The Crow and now they have fully revealed the figure and I have to say he looks absolutely fantastic and doesn’t disappoint and I honestly have to say he looks to be the best Crow figure to date. The figure looks incredibly well-detailed and comes with plenty of accessories and even more than I was expecting him to come with.

I’m a big of the film but I love the comic book by James O.Barr more Over the years we have had many figures of the Crow and none of them have really come with any weapons aside from the weather vane that he uses in the finale of the film so it’s nice to see a change with this Mezco one. Though I can understand why he doesn’t come with any firearms after how Brandon Lee tragically died during the making of the film As you can see on this one the costume is extremely well detailed and looks exactly like how it did in the film. All the headsculpts look very much like Brandon Lee and the variety is great and very well executed. I really do love the smiling/laughing head.

As expected Eric comes with two versions of The Crow. Shelly’s engagement ring, The guitar he takes from Gideon’s Pawn Shop, his gravestone, and the Crow flame effect after he kills T-Bird which we have seen with some other releases. The new accessories that we get are the lighter, knife, Katana, Pierrot Mask, and my favorite accessory the cat Gabriel who also appeared in the comic versions. Also, the bullet hole hand is a great touch I am glad that they included that.

This figure should be released sometime next May and I do wonder if they’ll do a comic book one in the near future as they released figures of more obscure comic book characters in the past and a few in the pipeline and if they did a comic The Crow I would buy that as well!

The Crow is brimming with film-accurate accessories including a crow-shaped flame display, a guitar with a leather-like strap, a tombstone with a crow that can sit atop, a flying crow that attaches to his display base, various weapons, and much more.
After a crow brings Eric Draven’s restless soul back from the dead, he sets out to wreak revenge upon his killers.
