Yesterday, Mezco officially revealed their One:12 Indiana Jones figure after teasing it the night before. Like many Indiana Jones fans, I was eagerly anticipating this figure. Firstly disappointing for me, he’s a Mezco store exclusive so it’ll be a case of paying very expensive shipping to the UK from the Mezco store or looking to get him from a site here in the UK.
I personally think the likeness looks excellent and pretty close to a young Harrison Ford and the selection of heads is great. I do wonder why the subtitle of the figure is called Temple Escape and when I looked at the accessories, I noticed they were all from the opening of the film. This makes me think they’ll do other versions of Indy down the line, though that’s unknown at this time.
I’m surprised with all the accessories that he comes with, especially the back spider’s accessory. The torch and dart accessory is a great touch. The pedestal is a great diorama piece as well. It’s a very clever idea to have three versions of the whip, with one coiled and two posed versions. I would absolutely love to get this figure that’s for sure.
