Earlier this week Mezco teased that they would be releasing a G.I. Joe Roadblock One:12 figure! A little while ago they revealed Destro and Roadblock is next in the line. On first impressions, I have to say this figure looks incredible and it’s a great classic-looking Roadblock. As you would expect from Mezco, Roadblock is very well detailed and comes packed with loads of accessories.
I love the fact that he just doesn’t come with just a small armory but interchangeable parts for his costume such as the vest, harness, thigh sheath, thigh holster, and a removable helmet. All the headsculpts look fantastic and I’m especially impressed with the gritted teeth head which looks just perfect! I have heard comparisons that he looks like Terry Crews and I can definitely see that here with this figure.
I honestly cannot see any faults with this figure at all he looks absolutely fantastic. This figure does look even better than the Classified Heavy Artillery Roadblock that is coming out soon. But comparing a Mezco figure to a Hasbro one is like comparing apples to oranges. The only fault that I can see (nothing to do with the figure itself) is that it’s a Mezco exclusive which means it’s very expensive to import here into the UK because on top of shipping you have to pay import fees too. This figure is expected to be released next summer and I would definitely love to get it! Here’s the press release from Mezco:
