Mezco One:12 Collective A Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy Krueger

Every Town Has an Elm Street!

Mezco’s One:12 Collective Line has started to delve into the horror genre with Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2. Now the Springwood Slasher himself Freddy Krueger is joining the line.

It should be noted that this figure is based on his appearance from the original Nightmare on Elm Street.  Hence why there are no stripes on the arms on his jumper which he gets in the sequels.

I have to say this figure does look excellent. Though the likeness to Robert Englund you can tell this is Freddy from the original film. Mezco has done a very good recreating the look of Freddy’s make-up in the film.

The clothes look to be a good fit on Freddy and they don’t look too big either.  I know that clothes on smaller figures can look rather baggy and Mezco does a very good job with the clothing on the One:12 figures and Freddy is an exception.

Accessory wise Freddy comes with a trash can lid,  four interchangeable heads, five interchangeable hands and a Nightmare on Elm Street Stand and support post.

The heads look really good and each comes with their own facial expressions and one of the heads has a removable face plate so you can recreate one of the most iconic scenes from the film. The hands are a great touch too. Especially a second glove hand has a different expression. It’s great he has interchangeable burnt hands so you put Freddy in many poses.

Having interchangeable hands and heads is great for this figure so it can show off many expressions like if he’s angry or gleefully evil.

The detailing on the figure is absolutely excellent in both the sculpt and clothing. It’s a very accurate representation of Freddy from A Nightmare on Elm Street. I wonder if they have more plans for Freddy in the future.

This figure is expected to be released in the spring/summer of next year.
