Mezco Reveal More Images and Info on Mortal Kombat X Series 2 6-inch Action Figures

Mortal Kombat Kitana FaceWith the release of Mezco’s Mortal Kombat X 6″ Series 1 release next month, Mezco has given us a better look at Series 2, which we first saw at Toy Fair earlier this year.

In this series we will be getting Kitana, Quan Chi and a new character making his debut in Mortal Kombat X – Kotal Kahn.

Kitana comes from the realm of Edenia. She was once Shao Khan’s loyal stepdaughter before freeing herself from his control. She then freed her home realm and lead an army to Outworld to prevent Shao Khan from rising to power again. I have to say they have done an amazing job with the paint and sculpt of this figure. The detailing is incredible.

It’s not know how well articulated that she will be, though she will come with two-bladed fans and a dagger. I’m not sure if she’ll come with interchangeable hands though.

Quan Chi is the most powerful sorcerer and necromancer in the Netherrealm. His plan has always been to be the ruler of all realms. He is cunning, ruthless, manipulative and brutal. He is also a oppurtunist who will ally with anyone who can help him reach his goal and by doing that he has earned himself many enemies.

I really like the design of Quan Chi in Mortak Kombat X. Mezco has captured his look from the game perfectly; I really do dig it. The only accessory that I can see that he comes with an energy skull that looks really cool. I am not sure if he’ll feature alternate hands, nor how well articulated he will be. Despite that he looks awesome.

Kotal Kahn is a brand new character in the game series. He is from the Osh-Tekk race and was a general under Shao Khan. He then served under Empress Mileena after Shao Khan’s death and seized control of the throne and Outworld. He now faces a civil war with Mileena and Reiko for the control of Outworld.

I really like the look of the character and I have to say he reminds me somewhat of Ogre from the Tekken series. In a good way mind you.  I have to say he looks fantastic. The only accessories that he seems to come with are a short barbarian like sword and an interchangeable hand to wield it. He looks to be well articulated too.

The packaging has yet to be revealed for this line but I have heard that they come in sturdy packaging perfect for display. Which means possibly that the packaging is resealable so you can easily display them outside of packaging and put them back in packaging. Without damaging the box.

These figures are expected to be released in November of this year. I’ll definitely be picking up Series 1 and this series for sure. If you’re a fan of the series and the latest game, these figures are a must have. You can pre-order them here.

Mortal Kombat X was just recently released for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. It is currently available to purchase here.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
