Mezco Con 2021 Reveals

Over this past weekend, Mezco held their online Mezco Con event and had a number of reveals from their biggest lines including One:12, MDS, and 5 Points. It’s great to see the 5 points line expanding with more Gozilla figures and a big surprise was the 5 Points Mezco Monster Boxed Set which is a bit like Mezco going back to their roots with this one as they used to release playsets years ago. That’s where the One:12 Captain Nemo came from originally. This set looks absolutely great and I love the designs of the monsters and it looks to be a large set and I do wonder how much this will cost. as it’s a very impressive piece. The Godzilla set looks great but it’s not really my cup of tea.

I know that the MDS line has been around for a while and it’s growing with the announcement of Pennywise from the IT 1990 TV Movie. The biggest reveals for me was the One:12 reveals which were a Batman & Two-Face two-pack that seems to be heavily inspired by the 1970’s run of Batman with those colors and the design of Two-Face. The next reveal was the One:12 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Boxed Set which looks absolutely amazing, I didn’t know that so many companies got the rights to Rangers but I ain’t complaining about all the awesome products that we’re getting. I do wonder how much this will cost and I imagine it would cost a lot of money, I would imagine this would be an incredibly expensive set and I cannot wait to see more details on this one.

Then finally there was the One:12 Doctor Doom reveal which is to tie in with the Fantastic Four Pack that was up for pre-order recently. Doctor Doom does look great and I am very curious to know what accessories he’ll come with. I’m a big fan of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Doctor Doom figure that came in the Fantastic Four wave so this one would have to be pretty spectacular to top it and I think it would be in the accessories department. None of these products are up for pre-order yet but I guess they will be soon in good time.

Here’s a breakdown of the reveals:

  • One:12 Collective Batman & Two-Face Boxed Set
  • MDS Roto Plush Pennywise (1990)
  • 5 Points XL Godzilla vs Hedorah (1971)
  • One:12 Collective Power Rangers Boxed Set
  • 5 Points Mezco’s Monsters Boxed Set
  • One:12 Collective Dr. Doom
