Just yesterday McFarlane showed off a teaser image of the main characters from the upcoming Gotham Knights video game as action figures. I have been following the updates on the Gotham Knights video game and it’s looking great. I knew it would only be a matter of time before McFarlane revealed they’ll be doing figures based on their appearances in the game.
The figures really closely follow the design of their in-game counterparts. I know some people don’t like the look of Robin in the game, but I have to say I am quite a fan of it and I love how the figure looks. Personally, I don’t have a problem with any of the designs and I think they all look fantastic!
I think the only real gripe that anyone could have about this line is that Red Hood does not come with handguns even though they are his main weapon in the game. This Warner Bros ‘no guns’ mandate really has to stop with the collector aimed lines. I can understand with lines aimed at children but it just seems ridiculous at collectors lines.
I hope we see more on these soon and I think they will be coming out sometime next year around the time Gotham Knights is released. Here’s the teaser image from McFarlane Toys:
