Masters of The Universe Classics Club 200x is Mattel’s Newest Subscription, Available Now
Mattel’s Master of The Universe is one of their best-selling collector lines and it has re-emerged in recent years with a revival of their Classic line, for which they had a subscription. The line is still going very strong, but most of the a-list characters have already been made, making room for something new.
Mattel is now moving onto the 2002-2004 TV series, which had updated the cartoon series and characters and produced a brilliant series of figures. Now they are recapturing the magic by producing a Modern Classic line, along with a subscription club titled Club 200x.
If you choose to subscribe to this club you’ll get six figures, one per month from July – December 2015. These figures will be characters from the 2002-2004 Series, which were never produced. They’ll be exclusively available through this subscription service and won’t be available through the normal retail channels that most figures are.
The figures that you’ll be getting are Callix (shown), Ceratus (shown), Evil Seed (shown), King Chooblah, Queen Grayskull and Prahvus. Not only that you’ll also be getting an exclusive accessory set around August, which will come with a variety of alternate heads for or Grizzlor, Buzz-Off, Sy-Klone, Roboto, Snout Spout, and Clawful. There have been no other details released yet.
If you want to be a member there’s an initial $26 fee, which covers the cost of the accessory pack. Then it’ll be $26 a month for a figure. I should note that you’re free to purchase as many memberships as you like and the Subscription period runs from the 2/22/15-3/23/15. That’s just one short month, so you better be quick if you want to subscribe.
Also when you start your subscription you won’t be able to cancel it. You have to be certain if you want to subscribe or not.
If you’re a fan of the Mattel Masters of The Universe Classic and Modern Classic Lines this subscription club is a must, especially when you equate how much the figures cost in the secondary market.
