A little bit over a week ago there was a Press Release from Warner Bros. revealing a bunch of news about all the companies who were going to be making Classic 1960s Batman TV series toys. Now that Toy Fair 2013 is finally here, some of the Mattel Classic 1960s Batman TV Series Toys have been revealed! They are looking way better than I was expecting too.
First up from Mattel is going to be an Adam West Batman figure that actually doesn’t look like the Dark Knight for once. He is set to retail for around $15.99 and will be hitting shelves in July. But wait, theres more. You can’t have JUST an Adam West Batman figure without the BATMOBILE can you? NO! (easy answer)
Mattel is also putting out a vintage style Batmobile that is also due out in July with a retail price of $49.99. This toy line just instantly became cool.
So then you are left with the thought – Who is Batman going to run over with his fancy new ride? Entertainment Earth revealed images of Mattel’s 2 villains for the line – Riddler (Frank Gorshin) and Penguin (Burgess Meredith)! Now you have a complete toyline that is set to be released in July.
At the time of the press release last week I read over it and read Mattel and skipped right on past it. It was a instant no. Now with images, I think that this line may actually have some potential.
