Last night the Marvel Legends team revealed a brand new three-pack of Venom figures exclusively available on Amazon. Two of the figures we saw at SDCC were Riot and Agony and a new Venom figure. I do admit I have a problem with Amazon Exclusives (especially so here in the UK) as a majority of them tend to sell out quickly or go for incredibly high prices on there and that counts for other collector-based lines as well. As of writing this figure isn’t available yet on Amazon UK (what a surprise)
The new Venom figure looks fantastic and looks to be sharing the same body as the cel-shaded version which came out a few months ago(?) but with the holes on the top of his shoulders plugged up and the web-shooters painted on top of the hands. The real attraction of this figure though is the two outstanding headsculpts sculpted by Paul Harding and both heads look marvelous. The Venom head looks incredible and I love the long tongue and eyes on it the Eddie Brock becoming Venom head sculpt is absolutely fantastic too, Brock’s expression is just excellent. The paintwork looks exceptional as well, Paul Harding has knocked it out of the park again!
The artwork looks great and I love the little bios on the back which tells you an origin of sorts of where Agony and Riot come from. I am really surprised by how affordable this set is which costs in the region of $78 US. I am guessing it will cost about £80 here in the UK and I can only hope it goes up for pre-order soon.
