Hasbro first showed off their Marvel Legends Rescue figure back at San Diego Comic-Con 2013. Since then it hasn’t been released and there has been little information surrounding it. However, the details for the Marvel Unlimited 2016 subscription have just been released, and it looks like the only way to get your hands on it is going to be getting yourself a digital comic subscription.
This isn’t the first time that an exclusive action figure has been offered as an incentive to sign up for the subscription, as last year a Marvel Legends Rocket Raccoon was offered and the year before that a Gold Ultron Marvel Legends figure. Other years they have also had 3.75-inch exclusives. Most of the time the figures are just exclusive repaints, but this year the Rescue figure uses a new sculpted female Iron Man armored body. It’s unclear if the Pepper Potts head sculpt that was seen at SDCC 2013 is going to be included.
Apart from the new 6-inch Rescue Iron Man Marvel Legend, you are also going to get:
- Three exclusive variant comics:
• Invincible Iron Man #1
• Captain America: White #1
• Agent Carter: S.H.I.E.L.D. 50th Anniversary #1 with connecting covers by Paul Renaud - Exclusive S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter two pin collectible set
- 15% Off Digital Comics & Collections
- 10% Off Marvel Merchandise
You can subscribe to the Marvel Unlimited program for just $9.99 monthly, but if you are looking to get the figure then you are going to have to shell out $99 for an annual subscription. That saves you about $20 over the course of a year. For more information and to subscribe, visit the official Marvel website.
