The MAFEX Amazing Spider-Man 2 Action Figure Hits Stores By This Fall

Starting in the spring of 2013, Medicom created a new line of action figures called MAFEX (Miracle Action Figure EX), but there has only been 2 releases in that line – Spider-Man and Batman. Their 3rd figure has just been announced and it looks like it’s going to be Spider-Man again, but this time from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Will the new MAFEX Amazing Spider-Man 2 action figure be enough to bring down the $250+ price tag that the secondary market is currently demanding?

Medicom’s new MAFEX Amazing Spider-Man 2 action figure comes with a figure stand and web shooting pieces. The figure stands about 16CM (just over 6″) tall and is due out in September 2014 for a price of 3,990 Yen (about $38 USD).

Nearly everything about the MAFEX Amazing Spider-Man 2 figure is the same as the original Spider-Man MAFEX figure, though obviously Spider-Man’s costume has been updated with its new look from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie which comes out in May 2014. Chances are that the $250+ price tag the original Spider-Man figure is currently demanding will be a thing of the past when this September comes along.
