Lego Millennium Falcon 75030 Review

There is an amazing 1254 piece Lego Millennium Falcon. This is not that Millennium Falcon, but it’s pretty awesome too.

This Millennium Falcon is my first microfighter, and I was surprised by how good it looked. There’s a level of detail that I hadn’t expected, which is a huge plus. The radar dish, the blue exhaust ports, and the little lights on the tips, lot’s of great stuff. Han’s got two faces, which is another fun detail. You can have him serious or happy, depending on your/his mood. (It also reminds me of one of my favorite parts of The Lego Movie. Always a plus).

It was my first Lego set in ten years, and I had it put together in twenty minutes without adult supervision. It would’ve been fifteen if I’d had some and didn’t have to take the whole thing halfway apart to fix a missed step. That’s something that hasn’t changed about Legos in a decade.

What makes this set great is the price point and the size. It only costs ten dollars and is about the size of my fist. Cheap and easy to store are selling points for me.

I’ve got two concerns with the set. The first is the missiles on top of the ship. They just don’t look good, and I haven’t managed to get them to shoot like the box seems to imply they do. The other is the cockpit. If a child gets this toy and sees that Han Solo is riding around outer space without a spacesuit, they may try to do the same thing themselves.

But seriously, I think this microfighter is an awful lot of fun and highly recommend to anyone with a budget or spatial constraints and a soul. You can get it at Amazon for $17 or try your luck on the shelves.
