Lego Ideas Avengers Helicarrier Achieves 10,000 Supporters
The Lego Ideas Avengers Helicarrier, created by user Yo-Sub, is the latest project on Lego’s user-generated ideas platform to achieve 10,000 supporters. The project has now reached the official Lego review phase, which starts in January, where the Lego team will decide whether or not this set would be viable for an official Lego release.
The original project was supposed to be 85.4 x 45.3 inches and have over 22,000 pieces, though once the project reached over 5,000 supporters, Lego commented on the project saying that it should be reduced so it could actually be considered to be a real Lego set. If they were to make the original model, it would officially be the largest Lego set the company has ever produced. The new, smaller scale set measures 47.2 x 27.7 inches and consists of 6,700 pieces.
The Avengers Helicarrier has become the very first project to reach the third 2014 LEGO Ideas review stage and it is also the very first project to reach 10,000 supporters since Lego has renamed Lego CUUSO to Lego Ideas. Avengers assemble and congratulations to Yo-Sub for the great achievement.
