Kotobukiya Reveals Alien Warrior Drone ARTFX Statue from ‘Aliens’
At New York Comic-Con this year Kotobukiya revealed their Alien Warrior Drone ARTFX Statue. It was done in the 1/10th scale and looks absolutely amazing.
The Alien Warrior Drone, first seen in Aliens, is undoubtedly one of the creatures most iconic designs outside the original Alien. Kotobukiya have done a fantastic job with the Alien Warrior. All the details that would expect to be there are there, capturing Winston’s design of the Alien Warrior perfectly. I really love the crawling pose it reminds me of the ‘Desperate Escape’ scene in Aliens.
The base is fantastic as well. It’s apparently themed from the Sulaco, the Colonial Marines ship from the film. Though to me it works very well for Hadley’s Hope as well. What I love the most though about this statue is that it comes with three extra panels so that you can make a tunnel. You can either have the Warrior crawling on the floor, roof or sides, and that’s just awesome in my opinion.
Unfortunately we’ll be waiting a while for this statue it won’t be released till the April of next year. Though you can pre-order the statue now for $69.99, which is $10 off the SRP.
