The last time that Kaiyodo gave us a look at their upcoming Revoltech Star Wars figures, we saw Darth Vader hanging out with C3P-O, R2-D2, and the Stormtrooper, all of which were unpainted and still in their prototype stage. Now that the Revoltech Darth Vader figure is going up for pre-order, they have released a whole bunch of new images showing off what exactly Darth Vader can do.
Revoltech action figures aren’t exactly your standard action figure, as they feature unique joints called “revolver joints” that allow the figure to have a wide range of movement while still having stability. The interesting thing about this figure is that they have put the special revolver joints in the cape.
It looks quite awkward, but with the cape being dual layered, you might be able to get him in a pose that you won’t notice the weird cape joints so much.
The figure stands about 6-inches tall and comes with a couple interchangeable hands to help you achieve that perfect pose, as well as a couple of lightsabers (both lit and unlit).
With many different Japanese toy companies now making Star Wars toys, action figure collectors are going to have a choice about what Darth Vader appeals to them most. Do you want an articulated cape, soft goods cape, or even just a normal plastic cape? If you can’t resist you can always have them all. Darth Vader is currently available for pre-order here if interested.
