Jada Toys SDCC 2022 Booth.

When I was at SDCC I saw the Jada Toys booth as I knew from news online that they would be expanding their 6″ figure lines with some brand figures for their Universal Monsters line as well as announcing new lines of figures based on Mega Man, Cereal & Snack Mascots and Street Fighter!

Their booth was on the small side but had some significant new figures on display. It was great seeing their Bela Lugosi Dracula on display as well as their Invisible Man who looks so ingenious with its creative accessories and the Mummy which looked fantastic. They also had the deluxe Frankenstein set on display as the first wave of Universal Monsters figures.

I was very curious to see their Cereal & Snack Mascot line as that is something not many companies have tried before and they did look great. The mascots were all from American foodstuffs which I think could do well over in the UK as some people would recognize all of them. I’m very curious to know how deep into this line they’d go beyond the ones they showed. I know Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Cheetos are incredibly popular so that’s a great place to start.

I am not all that familiar with Mega Man so I don’t recognize all those characters but it’s nice to see a Mega Man line available at retail and I can easily say the same for Capcom’s other big property Street Fighter which we haven’t seen from a western toy company since the SOTA Toys and NECA lines which were well over 10-12 years ago. I do wonder if they’ll get the license to another Capcom heavy hitter Resident Evil…

I spoke to a representative when I was there about how good the Universal Monsters and Street Fighter line looked and he was very friendly and helpful. All of the latest Jada Toys figures that have gone up for pre-order and order so far are available in the UK, aside from The Invisible Man which should be up soon.

Overall I was very impressed with their display and I am very excited to see these lines grow!

He collects mostly NECA, Mcfarlane's The Walking Dead line, Hasbro: Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends and some Play Arts Kai. He would love to collect even more high end figures someday. He also does digital art, collect films on Blu-Ray, and is a voice artist.
