Hot Toys Transformers G1 Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) Collectible Figure Final Product Photos
“One shall stand, one shall fall.”
The Hot Toys Transformers G1 Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) collectible figure has finally started shipping in Aisa, meaning that there should only be a few short months until we all can have him in our hands. Hot Toys and bloggers around the world have released a gallery of images highlighting the final production version of the figure in all its glory.
The Optimus Prime (Starscream Version) collectible figure stands approximately 30cm tall and features a highly detailed mechanical structure and remarkable painting application with distressed effects, a pair of Starscream’s wings, weapons, and a rocky ground diorama base with Autobots logo. If you purchase the figure though Sideshow Collectibles then you are also going to get an alternate Starscream head accessory.
This is the very first Transformers figure that Hot Toys has done. It’s not in sixth scale or quarter scale, because well… that would just be massive. Instead he’s just being called a collectible figure that will be the same height as most of the sixth scale figures. Think of him as just a standard 12-inch figure.
I was starting to get worried that Hot Toys was having trouble with the production of this figure, since he was originally announced and put up for pre-order last year. Sideshow Collectibles also removed most of the images from their pre-order page, causing alarm. However, Hot Toys is actually going to deliver and I can’t wait to see what their next Transformers release is going to be… if that ever happens.
The gallery below features some of the images that were put up on Hot Toys’ Facebook page. For the complete gallery of the Hot Toys Optimus Prime final product, head on over to the gallery on their Facebook page. More information and pre-orders for this 12-inch figure can be found here.
