The Malaysia Figure Community on Facebook was able to score an interview with Hot Toys about some of their upcoming products. There is some really good Hot Toys news here, inducing information about Hulkbuster, all 42 Iron Man suits, Sylvester Stallone collectibles from Rocky and Rambo, Star Wars: The Force Awakens figures, and some news about Batman.
I’m not going to copy word for word what the Malaysia Figure Community posted, but I’m going to summarize the gold mine of information.
– Hulkbuster is going to be part of the MMS series and included with a Mark XLIII head sculpt. It WILL NOT be made of diecast.
– What was seen at Toy Soul 2014 in regards to their Age of Ultron line was just early prototypes and they aren’t quite finished yet or ready for pre-order.
– It’s possible that Hot Toys is going to follow through with making all 42 of the Iron Man 3 suits.
– Iron Man Mark I-VII have plans to be made into diecast sometime in the future. This was due the the overwhelming response for the Mark III diecast.
– Batman vehicles from Batman Forever or Arkham City are NOT in the planning stage, but they plan to introduce a character from Batman Returns soon.
– Hot Toys is considering making figures from Rambo and Rocky, since they are already familiar with the likeness of Sylvester Stallone.
– They will be focusing on Star Wars original trilogy characters and Star Wars: The Force Awakens characters for their Star Wars license.
– Hot Toys hasn’t decided if they are going to do R2D2 or C3PO, since Sideshow’s versions are already fantastic.
