Hot Toys Movie Promo Iron Man Mark VII Stealth Mode Sixth Scale Figure Incoming

Yesterday when Hot Toys announced that they are going to be traveling to various locations around Asia to bring fans “Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron Exhibition”, they also mentioned that they would be offering an exclusive collectible figure that will only be available during the event periods in selected markets.

The figure was revealed today to be a movie promo Iron Man Mark VII Stealth Mode sixth scale figure. I suspected that it would be some sort of movie promo figure like they have done in the past, but I would have never imagined that they could come up with a new version of the Mark 7 that looks cooler that just about any other armor out there.

The Hot Toys Movie Promo Iron Man Mark VII Stealth Mode Sixth Scale Figure is highly detailed featuring multiple layers and various shades of metallic and matte black color with digital camouflage design, translucent black chest armor and articulated flaps on back of legs, Stark Industries decals at various parts of the armor, LED light-up functions, interchangeable armor parts, and a specially designed dynamic figure stand.

The figure is going to be available for pre-order at the following exhibitions:

  • Mid-Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (April 8 – 19)
  • Shin Kong Mitsukoshi’s Taipei Xinyi Place, Taipei, Taiwan (April 12 – May 31)
  • Gandaria City Mall, Jakarta, Indonesia (April 13 – May 3)
  • SM Megamall, Manila, Philippines (April 15 – Early May)
  • Vivo City, Singapore (April 15 – May 3)
  • Royal Paragon Hall @ Siam Paragon, Bangkok, Thailand (May 1 – 3)
  • Roppongi Izumi Garden Gallery, Tokyo, Japan (July 4 – 20)

Since Hot Toys isn’t going to be coming the North America for part of their exhibition, Sideshow Collectibles is going to be the place to get this guy. Sideshow usually doesn’t announce a specific date for the pre-order, rather they just put him on their site randomly.

If you are looking to add this guy to your collection, you really need to pre-order it the first day it’s available. The movie promo figures are very limited edition. Past movie promo edition figures have sold out in just a few hours.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.

      1. If you missed it and only have the option of getting on the waitlist, I highly suggest it. I missed the pre-order for the last movie promo and I hopped on the waitlist to find out that I got a figure less than a few weeks after!
