“How far you’re going? About 30 Years.” This year marks the 30th anniversary of the classic sic-fi film Back to the Future. Today, Hot Toys and bloggers have released the final product photos of the Hot Toys Marty McFly sixth scale figure, depicting the production version of the figure that should be shipping to your front door in a matter of months.
If you aren’t already a huge fan of Back to the Future, when Hot Toys announced the figure at SDCC 2014, you were probably not very excited. I mean, it’s just Marty McFly, right?
Here’s the description from Hot Toys:
The movie-accurate collectible sixth scale figure is specially crafted based on the image of Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly in the movie, featuring a newly developed head sculpt, highly detailed costume and a number of accessories.
Accessories include sunglasses, a watch, a portable audio player w/ headset, a camcorder, a skateboard, a backpack, a Valley Clocktower flyer, 3 pins, a figure stand, and if you were fortunate to pre-order the figure when he went up for pre-order last year – a sixth scale guitar.
Eric Draven from The Crow also came with a 1/6th scale guitar, but if you missed out on picking that figure up then this is your second chance to get a mini guitar!
I really don’t think the head sculpt is as accurate as one would expect, but it’s still quite obvious who the figure is supposed to be. The accessories and the outfit really help make up for the lacking head sculpt.
As mentioned above, this figure is available in regular and Sideshow Collectibles exclusive versions. The exclusive version comes with a sixth scale guitar as the exclusive bonus. Both figures are currently scheduled for shipping in May – July 2015 for $224.99. If you still need to place your pre-order, then you can do so here.
