Hot Toys Luke Skywalker Sixth Scale Figure from ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’

“I’m Luke Skywalker. I’m here to rescue you.” – Luke Skywalker

When Hot Toys finally announced that they could make 1/4 and 1/6 scale action figures based on the beloved Star Wars films, I was ecstatic. Sideshow Collectibles has been making the figures for several years now, but even though they work closely with Hot Toys to develop some of their figures, they are still lacking miles behind what Hot Toys can achieve. A perfect example of that would be the new Hot Toys Luke Skywalker sixth scale figure from Star Wars: A New Hope.

Originally just a moisture farmer on the planet Tatooine, the young Luke Skywalker’s life began to change forever when he purchased two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, and met the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, the infamous smugglers Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia! Luke’s actions helped change the fate of the galaxy by assisting the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire and destroying the terrifying Death Star.

The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in the film featuring a newly developed head sculpt, specially tailored costume, LED-lighted lightsaber, a hat with goggles, a poncho, detailed accessories, and a figure stand.

A special edition is available in selected markets (i.e. Sideshow Exclusive) which includes an additional Stormtrooper belt with grappling hook, a communicator, and a blaster rifle.

I missed out on the first time Hot Toys did Luke Skywalker, so there is nothing that’s going to hold me back on this release. Pre-orders should be going up very soon here. If you don’t mind supporting Action Figure Fury with your purchase of Mark Hamill, purchase your figure though this link. It doesn’t cost you anything additional, but a percentage of your purchase goes toward supporting Action Figure Fury so we can continue to put out the volume of articles we do on a daily basis.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
