“I want to learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi like my father.” – Luke Skywalker
The beloved hero is finally here! Hot Toys and bloggers around the world have released the final product photos of the Hot Toys Luke Skywalker sixth scale figure based on his appearance in Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope!
The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in the film, and features a newly developed head sculpt, specially tailored costume, LED-lighted lightsaber, a hat with goggles, a poncho, detailed accessories and a figure stand. The special edition (available exclusively at Sideshow Collectibles) includes an additional Stormtrooper belt with grappling hook, a communicator, and a blaster rifle.
For your reference, you can find the Luke Skywalker prototype images here.
This is the second time Hot Toys has done Luke Skywalker. The first time they took the character on was actually the very first Star Wars figure they made in partnership with Sideshow Collectibles, the DX07 Luke Skywalker. They have also already solicit Luke in his Stormtrooper disguise, which we are still waiting for to start shipping. This new version obviously gives us a new look for the character, so I’m sure many collectors including myself won’t be skipping him.
Whether you are after the exclusive or standard version, they are both going to be priced at $229.99. You can get the exclusive version here and the standard version here. They are scheduled to start shipping from Sideshow Collectibles from December 2015 – January 2016.
