Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure from ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’

“I find your lack of faith disturbing.” Ah yes, Darth Vader one of the greatest villains in movie history. We have seen several 12-inch versions of Darth Vader over the years, but Hot Toys has just announced what could potentially be one of the best, if not the best. Following “The Circle is Now Complete” teaser from last month, Star Wars fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement for the Hot Toys Darth Vader sixth scale figure.

Hot Toys is welcoming fans to the dark side (and also to open their wallets) with the reveal of the Sith Lord. The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Darth Vader in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. It features an amazing Darth Vader armor and helmet, specially tailored suit, built-in sound effect function with Darth Vader’s breathing sound, LED-lighted lightsaber and belt, a finely made Interrogator Droid, and a specially designed figure stand.

Looking through the images, one would have hoped that Hot Toys would have included that epic diorama, but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

I regretfully didn’t pick up Sideshow’s recent Return of the Jedi Darth Vader, so you can bet that I’m going to be getting the Hot Toys version. Darth Vader’s costume looks extremely detailed and also appears to be made of a material that really enhances the realism. Sadly, Hot Toys’ version doesn’t come with a severed gauntlet and hand, which in my opinion was one of the best accessories that could come with Darth Vader.

One can only hope that he’s going to be affordable. Recently it seems like Hot Toys has increased their prices yet again, but I’m crossing my fingers he’s not going to end up more than the recent Sideshow Darth Vader. Pre-orders will be popping up here very soon!
