Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure Final Product Completes the Circle
“The circle is now complete.”
There have been a lot of figures over the years that I have been anticipating greatly, but none nearly as much as the Hot Toys Darth Vader sixth scale figure. The 12-inch figure was recently released in Asia, so Hot Toys and bloggers around the world have released the final product gallery of Lord Vader in all his glory.
Now, Sideshow Collectibles recently released their version of the character (based on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi). I really wanted to pick that figure up, but by the time I went to order him the exclusive version with the severed gauntlet and hand was sold out. I really wanted the exclusive accessories mostly, so I just decided to skip the figure and hope Hot Toys would do better.
While the Hot Toys version doesn’t have the severed hand, he looks absolutely stunning in the final product photos below. The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Darth Vader in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, featuring an intricately-constructed Darth Vader armor and helmet, specially tailored suit, built-in sound effect function with Darth Vader’s breathing sound, LED-lighted lightsaber and belt, a finely made Interrogator Droid, and a specially designed figure stand.
For your reference, here are the prototype photos of Darth Vader.
He’s a little bit on the pricey side at $299.99, but since I don’t have a Darth Vader figure yet, it’s totally justified. Right?!? If you still need to pre-order your figure before he starts shipping from Nov – Dec 2015, and he’s currently available here on the Sideshow Collectibles website.
The gallery below features some of the images that were put up on Hot Toys’ Facebook page. For the complete gallery of the Hot Toys Darth Vader final product, head on over to the gallery on their Facebook page. More information and pre-orders for this 12-inch figure can be found here.
