Hiya Toys 6″ Universal Soldier Luc Deveraux

During New York Toy Fair this year Hiya Toys showed off some new products across their 3.75″ and 6″ lines. One of the 6″ figures that they showed off was Luc Deveraux from Universal Soldier. Over the last year or two Hiya Toys have been delving into doing 6″ figures.

I don’t think Universal Soldier has any licensed figures, certainly not in recent years, but there may be some third-party ones out there. When I first saw the figure in images from the event, I thought that the hands looked a little off and a bit on the small side. And I have to say this gallery showcases the figure much better and it looks absolutely excellent!

I saw the movie just a few months ago for the first time and I have to say the likeness to Jean Claude Van Damme is superb, especially for the 6-inch scale. The costume looks very close to its film counterpart as well and he comes with all the weapons that he uses and is equipped with in the film and can be stored on the figure. It’s great that he comes with the headset as well which is pivotal to the look of the character early on in the film.

The figure is up for pre-order now both here in the UK and US and is scheduled to be released next fall.
