Earlier today Hasbro had a Livestream panel for Star Wars and revealed a number of products for the Black Series and Vintage Collection. The main focus on the Black Series reveals was a re-release of the Rogue One wave utilizing the face printing tech with some brand new additions which are Bodhi Rook, Galen Erso, and Antoc Merrick. These figures look much better than the original releases and the like of Riz Ahmed on Bodhi Rook is excellent, I can’t say the same for Mads Mikkelsen it’s a little off but from one side it looks pretty close. I certainly would like to get the whole wave as they are far better than the original figures. It should be mentioned that Galen Erso and Antoc Merrik are store exclusives and will be available internationally from certain stores.
There was also some Archive reveals in this wave are A New Hope Princess Leia, Revenge of The Sith Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Revan, and a 501st Clone Trooper. That Obi-Wan Kenobi is a great improvement over the original release which had one of the poorest faces in the series and that original figure was from one of the early waves, The likeness to Carrie Fisher is great and I would definitely army build the 501st Troopers and have them on display with Anakin.
For the Vintage Collection we got a updated look at the Hoth Trooper and they revealed that the Republic Trooper as well and both of these will be a fan channel exclusives and will be up for pre-order tomorrow. They also revealed three The Mandalorian figures which are Bo Katan, Mythrol and Kuiil. The Kuiil and Bo Katan just look as good as their Black Series counterparts, we haven’t got Mythrol yet in the Black Series and this figure is stacked with so many accessories. I wonder if we’ll get him with all these accessories in the Black Series, also I would love to see the art cards for these!
They also had some pipeline reveals for the Vintage Collection and Black Series line and I am very excited for the Black Series ones which is mostly The Mandalorian related aside from Bib Fortuna who is based on his appearence from Return of The Jedi. The Black Series ones are meant to be released in October before the Book of Boba Fett series which starts in December. I wanted figures of all these figures and I cannot wait to see the actual figures and all their accessories in the near future!
