Hasbro Marvel Infinite Series Ant-Man 3.75 Inch Figure with Flying Ant Review
I was very excited to take a look at this figure, but the legs on the flying ant don't stay in. If you use it at all, they just pop right out. And this isn't an isolated problem. I've heard this exact complaint from many sources. It's not worth it, even on clearance. As an optimist, I believe you can find more thorough disappointment for free.

I don’t normally buy playsets. My apartment isn’t big enough. Such is life in a city. I made an exception for the Ant-Man and Flying Ant playset when it went on sale at Entertainment Earth. I write this to warn you not to make the same mistake that I did.
The Ant-Man 3 and ¾ inch figure looks good and moves well, likely one of the millions made in anticipation of Ant-Man’s release in June. The giant ant, the point of the playset, is the problem.
It looks fine, painted an ant-like green. The face with the antennas is pretty sweet. The wings, translucent yellow, have veins running through them. The problem is the legs.
True to nature, there are six. Untrue to nature, they don’t stay in the ant’s body if any weight is put on them, or if no weight is put on them. They’re designed to be pushed in and no matter how hard or soft I’ve pushed, the back legs have fallen out immediately. The design is so bad that I’m convinced if I super-glued them they’d still fall out.
It takes all the fun out of the figure, so I won’t waste anyone’s time talking any more about the little details that were done well. Overall, this figure is too fragile to pose or play with, bad for adult collectors and kids. It’s not worth it—even on clearance.
If you are somehow still interested in buying this figure, you can get it for $19.99 from Target, but as an optimist, I believe you can find more thorough disappointment for free. The figure is also available on Entertainment Earth, the Big Bad Toy Store, and on Amazon. You can also always fly on over to eBay and check around for one of these Ant-Man action figures with a flying ant.
