Hasbro Marvel Avengers Infinite Sandman Action Figure Review
This is a great figure. It’s a lot of fun, based on an awesome character, and has an over-the-top excellent sculpt and great paint. Do yourself a favor and make this your next purchase.

It had the best jazz dance scene in any superhero movie, but it also had a jazz dance scene in a superhero movie. William Baker/Flint Marko, the Sandman, is an excellent member of Spiderman’s rogue gallery. He has the power to transform his sand-body into whatever shape he wants, and regularly forces Spiderman to come up with a new stratagem or a hose to defeat him.
The coolest part of this figure is the shape of his arms. He’s embiggened one and turned the other into a gnarly looking fist, complete with spikes to crush any friendly neighborhood Spidermen he happens to come across. Even cooler than that though, is that his legs are deceptively sturdy and have no problem supporting the weight of the larger arms, even when the big one is held above his head. In other words, the sculpt is amazing.
The paint is the only of the three Avengers Infinite January wave that I bought that is entirely in line. I feel silly writing that, because Hasbro’s quality control should be better. It shouldn’t be worth mentioning that all the paint is in the lines, that should be assumed but the world is imperfect, as are Hasbro’s paint jobs.
Like Beast, they put out a Sandman variant with a darker color scheme. I think both originals are better, and would advise against getting the variants. I doubt these will go up in value and think the variant looks worse than the original in both cases, but you do you. Get the toy that looks coolest to you.
Sandman’s articulation is good. He’s got the new Avengers Infinite hips with deeper sockets, which I love. He’s also got the chest joint that was missing from Beast and Black Cat. He needed to it to support his giant fist and I’m glad he has it. The rest is standard, though he has no wrists joints because of his considerably larger hands.
In lieu of accessories, he’s got crazy hands. I’m more than okay with that. It’s awesome. And his open hand is a great size for grabbing other figures by the hand or foot.
The packing is standard Avengers Infinite packaging.
