Hasbro G.I. Joe Livestream Reveals & Pre-Orders.

Yesterday Hasbro’s G.I. Joe team held another live stream where they revealed a number of new figures for the Classified Line as well as putting up some of their previous reveals for pre-order too. They mostly revealed some Retro-inspired figures with a more classic-looking Zartan and Storm Shadow which looked fantastic. They are re-releasing the Timber and Snake Eyes two-pack with a more classic-looking Snake Eyes (not the commando version), a Cobra Blue Ninja two-pack which looks very interesting, a Tiger Force version of Duke with a RAM Cycle, and a brand new figure with Sgt. Slaughter.

I admit at first I was not really impressed with these releases as I thought they were mostly just rehashes of previous figures, but after looking closer at the new Snake Eyes & Timber, Zartan and Storm Shadow. I warmed up to them and I would really like to add them to my collection. I know now that I would have to start a more classic figure-looking shelf!

I know that these are the classic looks for the characters and I am very curious to see what accessories they’ll come with. I don’t doubt we’ll see those in the next live stream.

The Sgt. Slaughter figure looks great and I do wonder what accessories he’ll come with. I know that he’s already in the Valaverse Action Force line too. He must be doing very well with signing on his likeness to three brands. The only figure I am not that impressed with is the Duke and Ram Cycle as it doesn’t interest me as I don’t have any nostalgia for it.

For pre-orders, they put up Tiger Force Bazooka, Tiger Force Recondo, Python Patrol Officer, Crimson Guard, Dusty, and Zarana. These are some of the figures they revealed as scans during the last live stream. The only figures we have not seen yet are Dr. Mindbender and Kamakura. I really love the look of most of these figures and I was even more impressed when the team showed what they looked like in hand which really bowled me over them.

The Recondo and Bazooka figures look great, but I am undecided on getting them. They look very impressive in hand and I love their accessories, I think it’s just their decos that are throwing me off a bit. I am on the fence about those too. I am not that interested in the Python Patrol Officer as it’s just a rehash of the Cobra Officer which I have already pre-ordered.

I have pre-ordered Crimson Guard, Dusty, and Zarana as I really love the look of all these three and how they stand out on the shelf, and all the awesome accessories that they come with to boot! I really dig the robotic look to the Crimson Guard and all the weaponry that he comes with. It has a regal look to it and the sabre they come with. I have pre-ordered one but I think I should pre-order a few more to go with Tomax and Xamot.

Dusty looks fantastic. I really like the Desert Ops look to him with his outfit, helmet and face camo. I really like the rifle he comes which has a posable stand. There’s a lot of little details on him and I cannot wait for him to be released. Finally there’s Zarana and she’s an amazing looking figure, I love the punk look to her with the short pink leather jacket, the ripped jeans, spurs, the chain hanging from the belt and the best feature of the G.I. Joe Classified line: an interchangeable hair piece in which one is a short pixie style haircut and the other being a pompadour style haircut which is her classic look which looks terrific.

Her main rifle weapon with the circle blade attachment looks awesome! I should note that the Tiger Force/Python Patrol figures are Target exclusives and Zarana, Crimson Guard and Dusty are regular releases and all of these figures are available internationally.
