Fortune and glory kid, fortune and glory.
Just yesterday Hasbro has announced that has acquired the license to Indiana Jones during the announcement they have extended their master license to Star Wars. The figure line will launch in 2023 to coincide with the release of the upcoming film. As you can imagine I am very giddy about this announcement as I wrote an article about a 6″ Indiana Jones line of figures from Hasbro. It was only a matter of time till we got an Indiana Jones line what with Jones being a part of Lucasfilms alongside Star Wars. And Lucasfilm has a great relationship with Hasbro as Hasbro has been releasing Star Wars figures for almost three decades.
So to get a 6″ Indiana Jones line of figures is a great move as Hasbro has given us some very great Harrison Ford head sculpts with their Han Solo figures. I know we’ll get some figures from the new film and undoubtedly figures from the other four films. I did a breakdown of what characters they could release from the films including a fair number of Indiana Jones figures in the various outfits and variations from the films (jacket and no jacket)
I don’t think we’ll see anything from this line till much later this year to give us an idea of what the figures will be like, more likely when they show the first trailer for the film. I’m incredibly excited for this line and I cannot wait to hear more about it!
