With the more recent onslaught of action figure Kickstarter campaigns, the Four Horsemen’s remarkable Gothitropolis Ravens campaign was almost overshadowed, at least in my toy circles. But certainly, with an end total of over $300,000, many in the online community showed up to support it.
The Four Horsemen have reached near celebrity status in the toy collector realm working for themselves and Mattel, and acting as the masterminds behind the Masters of the Universe Classics, Power Lords, and several other beloved toy brands. The Gothitropolis Ravens seemed to be a property near and dear to the Horsemen and follows their formula of animal/human hybrid characters, which they certainly touched on quite a bit with their Seventh Kingdom toyline as well. In fact, the Ravens are designed to belong to that great Seventh Kingdom universe and act as an extension of that universe.
For folks out there who loved the looks of these figures, but didn’t have the chance to contribute to the Kickstarter Campaign, your wait is now over!
