G.I. Joe Classified SDCC 2022 Booth & Reveals

Hasbro had a G.I. Joe Classified booth at SDCC and had some reveals. I only attended on Sunday so I missed the panel and the reveals they made: Shipwreck, Copperhead, Rock “N” Roll, and Torpedo. They had scans of these in-progress models and they look excellent. They had name only reveals of Lowlight and Cobra Flight Pod. Hopefully, we’ll see these at Hascon in September.

They had the Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank on display and looks fantastic fully painted with some of the figures on display and it looked incredible. I wish I could get it.

They didn’t have many new figures on display, they had some of the latest releases such as Storm Shadow and Spirit Iron-Knife and some of the upcoming releases Dusty, Zarana, Crimson Guard, and Stalker. It was a treat to see these before they are released in the coming months. I also saw Sgt. Slaughter and Dr. Mindbender which I sadly missed out on getting because I am from the UK and I was in the US and the time zones were different so I missed out on them and I hope that they restock Sgt. Slaughter and put up Dr. Mindbender on Hasbro Pulse UK as at the time of writing it’s still not up.

The big reveal was Serpentor and his air chariot which looks absolutely phenomenal. The figure looks incredible, I love all the little details in his costume which is a great homage to his original look. I love the look of the cape and the quilted texture on it to replicate the look of snakeskin. I love the look of the chariot as well and it doesn’t look too big for displays so it won’t take up too much shelf real estate. It is so well detailed, I love the gold sheen to it and the controls are well detailed and it even has landing display legs! It looks like the head of the chariot has an articulated mouth.

He will be a Hascon exclusive and Hasbro has also revealed some packaging shots and he comes with a number of accessories such as the staff and a sword. I can’t really tell what the other accessories are. I’ll definitely be pre-ordering this when it’s available and I can see it costing around £100.
