Funko to Replace Broken Game of Thrones Legacy Collection Figures

When Funko‘s first wave of Legacy Collection 6 inch action figures hit Barns and Noble stores, everyone was surprised because most people didn’t know they should be coming already. Now the figures have been in the stores for a couple of weeks and it’s starting to look like people are running into broken Game of Thrones Legacy Collection figures due to quality control issues.

The main issue that seems to be plaguing this new line is the transparent plastic that was used for the joints. Transparent plastic is very brittle and probably shouldn’t be used for action figure joints. Action figure collectors have experienced this before, a recent example would be the DC Collectibles 3.75″ Injustice figures. The only real solution to this problem is to swap the brittle translucent plastic for something more durable, and Funko has done just that.

When collectors started to experience problems with their Legacy Collection Game of Thrones figures, Funko immediately corrected the problem with their factory and are now offering you a full replacement for the item(s) that you purchased. The newly manufactured units aren’t scheduled to be available until April, but Funko has assured everyone that they will ship the corrected figures as soon as they are available.
