Both the Animaniacs Pop figures and Pinky and the Brain Pop figures are perfect representations of the cartoons.
The Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain were a staple of Saturday morning cartoon viewing for a generation of nerds and geeks. Totally not me, though. I was way too sophisticated for the hilarious (mis)adventures of Wakko, Yakko and Dot, or the continuing attempts of the Brain to try to take over the world. I also definitely never watched Tiny Toon Adventures, Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, or any of the other cartoons of the time. No, I spent my time engaged in intellectual pursuits and cultivating different artistic interests.
OK, OK, fine. I watched them all. Guilty as charged! And I enjoyed them too! But rather than go on an old man rant about how the kids shows these days are all so weird, and not clever or hilarious like they used to be, I’ll instead just say that the head to body ratio that is so exaggerated off for most Pop figures feels much more accurate here for both the Animaniacs Pop figures and the Pinky and the Brain Pop figures. Especially in the case of the Brain.
