First Ever 12-inch Stan Lee Action Figure Announced, Complete with Elusive 70’s Beard Head

There is no denying the fact that Stan Lee has had his fair share of action figures over the years, from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line, NECA’s Simpsons line, and even Mattel’s MOTUC Stan Lee. However, he’s never actually been created in the 1/6th scale, which GoHero and Das Toyz was able to nail perfectly, complete with an alternate head sculpt featuring his elusive beard from the 1970’s.

An American icon, Stan Lee is a comic book writer since the 1940’s.  He is also an editor, publisher, media Producer, television host, actor, and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.  Collaborating with several artists, Stan Lee co-created Spider Man, The Hulk, The Fantastic Four, X- Men, Iron Man and Thor.

With such an impressive rèsumè, it’s about time Stan Lee gets a real action figure that collector’s will proudly display among the rest of their Marvel toys.

As with most epic action figures available these days, the 12-inch Stan Lee action figure is going to come with a whole slew of accessories, including a tailored outfit, 2x head sculpts (with and without beard), various interchangeable hands, glasses, rings, a watch, handkerchief, and a figure stand.

He’s currently available for pre-order, but be warned that this figure is strictly limited to just 1,000 pieces worldwide, so we can more that likely expect that this sells out on pre-order before it starts shipping in the 3rd quarter of 2015. He’s priced to sell at $249.99 and is currently available for pre-order here.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
