First 4 Figures Presents a Sword Kirby Statue
First 4 Figures has just recently revealed their Sword Kirby Statue, along with its exclusive variant, and put them up for pre-order. This statue is the first in a collection based on the cute, fun and timeless Kirby series.
This statue depicts Kirby, the hero of Dreamland, using his inhale and copy ability, wielding a sword, and wearing a green and yellow pom pom hat. He’s in a very classic pose with a determined look on his face and thrusting his sword up into the air making an uppercut. Anyone who has played any Kirby or Smash Brothers games will be familiar with this.
I have to say this statue very much looks like Kirby and is painted and sculpted very well indeed. It’s a perfect representation. What I also really like is the look on his face, the pose and the sword itself looks fantastic. What is the icing on the cake though is the swinging effect, which they have included with this statue. Personally I don’t think they needed to add it. Though I have to say it looks absolutely fantastic. It’s molded onto the base and I love the translucent effect and the sparse use of blue paint on it looks beautiful. The Exclusive version comes with a LED light up feature, which makes the swinging effect light up which looks fantastic. Though the button for it is on the normal version too.
The base itself looks very nice. It is based on the look of the Cookie Country Level from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land game and it looks very lush and is in the same style as Kirby. The statue measures 16 inches tall from the bottom of the base to the tip of his sword. He is made from polystone and is hand painted. Both versions will also come with an individual numbered base and an authenticity card, which will allow you to buy the next Kirby statue in the same series with the same number on bottom of the base.
The standard version is limited to 2000 pieces worldwide and will cost $219.99. The exclusive version is limited to 850 pieces worldwide and will cost $230.00. Both versions will ship in the spring of next year.
