Figma’s Dawn of The Dead Flyboy Figure is to Die For

Figma’s Dawn of the Dead Flyboy has recently been listed as a pre-order on many online toy stores. If memory serves, NECA did a Flyboy a few years ago in their Cult Classics Line. This one seems to trump it in detail, articulation and accessories.

This figure is based on Stephens ‘turned’ appearance in George A. Romero’s  zombie cult classic film Dawn of The Dead. I really have to say this looks far much better than Figma’s Indiana Jones which came out recently.

Figma has faithfully recreated the iconic zombie in plastic form, using ABC and PVC plastic. The skin tone looks dead on, being a dead pale blue. The rest of the sculpt looks absolutely fantastic with the folds and creases in his shirt and pants. I really love the bloody shirt and pants on the figure, especially the extensive damage on the leg.

Like all Figma figures, he is fully posable with smooth joints so you can get this iconic zombie in any pose you want. If you want him lunging at a victim or just walking with a broken leg or neck, you can do that. He stands roughly 6″ tall and comes with oodles of accessories like two interchangeable heads (one with an attachable blood spray & the machete zombie head), a machete for the head and a revolver. He also comes with a Figma stand to help you pull off more difficult poses.

He’s expected to be released this August for around $60. Pre-orders are currently open now at Big Bad Toy Store.
