Get Your Doctor Who 12th Doctor 1:6 Scale Action Figure

Peter Capaldi’s 12th Doctor 1:6 Scale Action Figure Is Going Fast

A recent Doctor Who action figure by Big Chief Studios and the BBC is going fast. The 12th Doctor 1:6 scale action figure is made to resemble Peter Capaldi, wearing the outfit from Season 8 of the worldwide hit that is Doctor Who. The figure is made in incredible detail and comes with numerous accessories, making it a worthwhile investment for all fans out there.

The outfit is made out of real fabric and includes every single item of clothing that can be seen in the series, starting with an overcoat with magnetic fastening, a white shirt and a cardigan, a pair of trousers with a belt, a pair of socks and a pair of boots.

The body features 30 points of articulation and comes with 7 interchangeable hands, including a bonus gloved right hand. There are no interchangeable heads, but a display base is included featuring an Illuminating Gallifreyan Symbol and a stand. The size of the figure is approximately 12 inches (~30 cm) and weigh around 2.65lbs, or just over a kilogram.

Numerous accessories are included with the 12th Doctor, all iconic and highly important, such as two sonic screwdrivers (one open, one closed), a wallet with psychic paper, a case with jelly baby sweets, a TARDIS siege mode cube, a gloved hand and spoon, a Yo-Yo, and a TARDIS Series 8 interior printed backdrop.

Although the pre-ordering began more than a year ago, shipping started fairly recently last November. If you haven’t already ordered, you should do so soon while figures are still in stock, as there were only 1000 figures made. The price is set at 169.99 British pounds (~$235), and the figure can be bought on Big Chief Studios website. It can also be purchased on Entertainment Earth for the slightly higher price of $289.99.

Bryan first discovered an appreciation for action figures at an early age, setting up elaborate GI Joe ant hill attacks, complete with firework pyrotechnics. Due to the high injury rate for the Joes, replacements were a constant necessity.
