Did Hot Toys Get One-Upped on Their Hulkbuster Sixth Scale Figure?

Today, Hot Toys post an interesting new photo of the Hulkbuster and Hulk sixth scale figures. The photo shows the Hulkbuster fist bumping the Hulk, but what it’s probably trying to say is that Hot Toys got one-upped on the Hulkbuster and now they feel it’s needs improvements before release.

The photo is just a teaser image, but I think we can still figure out what Hot Toys is going to do to the Hulkbuster. An obvious guess would be giving the Hulkbuster the alternate arm trap that he uses against the Hulk in the movie, but it could also be a number of other things.

Comicave Studios recently announced a mind-blowing Hulkbuster, with animatronics. Hot Toys could be doing this, but it seems unlikely given the teaser. They could also be making it possible to put an actual Iron Man sixth scale inside of the Hulkbuster suit as seen in the movie.

Time will tell what Hot Toys is really going to be doing, but for those that have already pre-ordered him aren’t going to have to worry, as the price likely won’t be rising. I come to this conclusion because Hot Toys hasn’t increased the price when they have added additional accessories to figures in the past.

If you still need to pre-order the Hulkbuster from Hot Toys, he’s currently available for pre-order here for $824.99.
