Starforce Captain Marvel Joins The Marvel Select Line!
At Toy Fair, last month Diamond Select Toys officially unveiled their Captain Marvel Select figure to tie-in with the film’s release. Diamond Select Toys have opted to release Captain Marvel in her Starforce uniform instead of her iconic outfit that she wears for most of the film. Though I can see DST releasing that down the line in some way.
This Captain Marvel figure will come with an unmasked head, goose the cat, blast effects and diorama base. I do really like the look of the figure, I’m collecting the Marvel Legends versions and I’ll definitely be getting this one too as the costume looks great. The masked head looks great though the unmasked one looks pretty good as well. A lot of the unmasked heads of DST have static looking faces which are normal and it isn’t a knock against this figure.
The blast effects look fantastic and accurate and fit over her fists well. My favorite accessory though has to be Goose, he looks adorable and more fluffy than the Marvel Legends iteration. Of course, he’s wearing an adorable collar too. We really do need more action figures with pet accessories!
Finally, she comes with a base which is a repurposed part of the Disney Store Guardians of the Galaxy Select figures diorama. This figure will be released in the summer of this year.
