Mallrats Action Figures? Snoochie Boochies!
22 years after the movie’s original screening, fans can finally relax knowing that they will soon get some primo Mallrats action figures. Not only are the best Mallrats action figures available, they’re the only fully poseable action figures based on Kevin Smith’s 1995 cult classic movie.
The first two figures being made, as part of what is being dubbed Series 1, are Jay (as portrayed by Jason Mewes), and Brody (as portrayed by Jason Lee). Both of the figures will be made with 16 articulation points, opening up a lot of great posing opportunities, as well as featuring an authentic character likeness. Each figure will also arrive with character specific accessories. For Jay, that will be a sock full of quarters and a baseball bat while Brody’s figure includes a chocolate pretzel and a giant cookie. The figures will also come with diorama bases that are great for display and even better when combined. Each diorama will present a different store recognizable from the mall. Since it is only Series 1, we’re expecting them to make more of these great figures such as Silent Bob (you can’t have Jay without Silent Bob), Quint (Jeremy London) and Rene (Shannen Doherty). Another great thing for collectors is that they come in special boxes that are great for display and feature spine artwork for shelf reference.

The estimated release date for these figures is sometime in October 2016. There are no bonus items or other exclusives if you choose to purchase the bundle, so it’s mostly what is convenient for you. No other news about future series has been released, but we’ll be sure to update you with future news about figures in development.
