Dark Horse to Release Witcher 3 Action Figures
Geralt To Be the First in the New Witcher 3 Action Figures Line
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was, according to fans and critics alike, 2015’s game of the year. Now, in 2016, this critically acclaimed franchise will finally get its own series of action figures as has been requested by fans for quite a while. The game’s developer CD Projekt RED has partnered up with Dark Horse on creating a Geralt of Rivia statue and this is just the beginning.
Although there are not many details revealed about the statue itself, the statue will be released this fall with a price set at $29.99. This is only the first statue of three that will come out this fall, the other two being Triss and Ciri, also famous characters from the game. Following them, Yenneferand King Eredin of the Wild Hunt will also be made and released. However, there is no information about the other figures release dates.
Dark Horse’s Vice President of Product Development added that this is only the beginning, and that there are more collectibles which will be revealed and released in the following period, pointing out that we have only just begun exploring the wonderful world of Witcher.
Although the precise details about the statue have not been revealed, Dark Horse released a picture of Geralt that shows what the statue would look like, adding that there will be little or no change to the statue made. The statue detail is astonishing with even the smallest details such as scars or weathering effect added. Geralt stands on a circular base featuring the Wolf School logo.
This will not be the first time Dark Horse and CD Projekt Red have partnered up on various Witcher projects. In the previous years, the company’s collaboration brought us the Witcher comic book mini-series as well as the bestselling “The World of Witcher” art book, with more books to come.
