Sideshow have just unveiled & added the Daredevil Premium Format Figure to their collection of Marvel 1/4 scale figures. Created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett in 1964, the kindhearted, yet tortured hero has become a compelling fan favorite in the Marvel Universe.
He is full of fine detail throughout his sculpt. You can see the stitching in his outfit so you can see how the costume comes together. It really does look like fabric as it appears there’s a texture to it . The boots, leg holster, belt and gloves really stand out with a glossy texture to them making them look like real leather. His DD logo on his chest is not only painted but sculpted on using the same glossy effect as the gloves. I really like the head sculpt too with the mask’s red eye and the small horns protruding from his iconic mask. He really has a concentrated and intense expression on his face. The costume really shows his muscular physique with the creases and folds in the outfit. The paint job on him looks flawless, especially the skin tone.
The pose is iconic for the character like he’s in motion about to tackle a criminal holding his iconic billy club weapon in one hand and making a fist with the other. The base is also signature to the character as he’s standing atop the ruins of Lady Justice to show that by nigh he fights the injustice in Hells Kitchen that he cannot fight in the courtroom as Matt Murdock.
This statue is a perfect personification of Daredevil. Being in his classic costume in a iconic pose atop the ruins of Lady Justice. It could not get better than this in my opinion. He’s currently available for pre-order now here. He’ll be released March of 2015.
