Before my trip to Brigantine, NJ I had looked up if there were any comic book shops in the area and one that stuck out for me was Level Up Entertainment which was in a nearby mall. When I first went to the store ( I made two visits) I was really impressed and amazed by the array of products that they had for sale.

When you first enter the store you see a large display of brand new comics and on the opposite side there was a lot of Gundam style model kits which looked really cool and they had a lot of paints as well. Around the display, they also had glass cabinets that were dotted around the store. In the display cabinets near the model kits, they had a number of the models on display which is a great advertisement for the products.

Near the comics display, they had a large selection of the latest graphic novels from all the big-name publishers. Further in the store they a lot of figures on sale, most prominently they had Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends, DC Icons, and Marvel Select figures all for reasonable prices and a lot of the figures were some of the latest.

They also had some higher tier collectibles from Mezco and various Japanese import figures which looked simply amazing on display and for more than reasonable prices too. They also had some NECA pieces In their too.

At the back of the store, they sold video games from retro consoles such as the PS2, Gamecube and such like. I also didn’t fail to notice that they had a selection of pinball tables that you could play. You could play a Super Mario, Deadpool, Star Wars and Twilight Zone. As a pinball fan myself I was very tempted to play them and if I lived locally I would go there as often as I could.

Amongst the video games, they had a discount graphic novel section which was a great place to get some great graphic novels for a lower price.

The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. I don’t have any problems with this store as the store layout was very clear and clean and you could easily find what you were looking for. If you live in the area and haven’t visited the store yet I would highly recommend doing so and if your visiting the area you’ll be in for a treat.

Samuel is from the UK. He is an avid film fan and critic and a very passionate action figure collector. Basically he's a bit of a nerd. He collects mostly NECA, Mcfarlane's The Walking Dead line, Hasbro: Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends and some Play Arts Kai. He would love to collect even more high end figures someday. He also does digital art, collect films on Blu-Ray, and is a voice artist.
