The Syfy channel is set to be premiering Collection Intervention on Tuesday, August 14 at 10PM ET/PT. This show is going to be about families and individuals whose pop-culture collections are out of control. Their collections have become damaging obsessions and creating massive financial hardship.
I am going to be watching the premiere on the 14th. It looks like it is going to be quite interesting. I also love to check out other peoples collections. You never know what they will have.
Here is An excerpt about Collection Intervention:
In each of the six hour-long episodes, Elyse will create a strategy that helps these collectors curate and showcase their collection by assessing where the true value lies and then allow them to decide what’s worth keeping and what they can sell. These massive collections include dining rooms stuffed with 30,000 comic books, a garage filled to the rafters with Catwoman memorabilia, and an almost uninhabitable house filled with Transformers. For each collector, parting with some of their collection may free up some much needed space in their home, provide a cash windfall to get out of debt, or even just allow a couple to become more focused on their relationship.
The first episode of Collection Intervention is called “A Disturbance in the Force” and is going to showcase a single room that evolved into the entire house overtaken by the collection Star Wars. Will the owner be able to let some of her collection go?
Also on the episode there will be a extensive Catwoman collection that needs to be parted with in order for the family to pay some bills.
Im in for the premiere of Collection Intervention, how about you?
