Capo Toys Kickstarter for Street Fighter Action Figures

Capo Toys, who showed off their Street Fighter action figures at Toy Fair back in February of this year, have turned to Kickstarter to make these figures a reality.

Capo are a fairly new company in the action figure market and are self-proclaimed fans of the Street Fighter series, showing their love and appreciation for it with their first series of action figures.

These figures are in the 7″ scale and feature 19 + points of articulation, and some figures will include soft good parts. Though the only figure that will be available to start with is Ryu. Later on in series one you’ll be able to get Sagat, Guile, Chun-Li and Blanka. Also available are alternative Ryu figures with a navy cloth GI, black cloth GI, Artist Proof white edition and Artist Proof black edition. Which are available to backers at different pledge levels. Though the figures won’t ship till sometime between December 2014- February 2015.

It should be noted that those who pledge at the $5,000 or more level will get a faux bronze bust of any of their favorite characters from the series sculpted by Rocco Tartamella along with all the previous incentives. Also those who pledge over $10,000 will get a 12-inch statue of themselves dressed as their favorite character from the series also sculpted by Rocco. In all they need $85,000.

They also have stretch goals at $135,000 they will open the to international fans of Street Fighter, which I think it’ll have no trouble with as the Kickstarter has just started. At $150,000 they will add accessories to the line featuring alternate hands, hands, effects and stands. And finally at $160,000 they will start tooling for Sagat and start the next Kickstarter at a much lower goal amount to unlock more of the figures.

If you’re a fan of Street Fighter and have collected the NECA figures, they’ll fit in perfectly with the scale and they feature the same amount of excellent detail that they did. Nevertheless if you’re a fan of Street Fighter they are simply a must have.
